We are looking for a Editorial Assistant with great understanding of the trends in fashion and beauty and incredible social fluency to assist with developing content for a fashion platform as well as lead in coordinating content for social media. This role is an intensive foray into the world of emerging designers and content creation as you will be responsible for creating connections with designers, models, photographers, bloggers, editors and other fashion professionals while refining the brand's essence and helping to build the brand’s profile with emerging brands.
Additionally, the flexibility to attend and cover fashion shows will be extremely useful, as well as familiarity with or possession of a DSLR camera.
Your three primary responsibilities are as follows:
Directly manage social media channels for the brand, specifically Instagram and Facebook by sourcing or creating content to regularly post online;
Researching, identifying and curating lists of emerging industry figures in order to schedule interviews and photo sessions with emerging designers, fashionistas, artists and other young industry.
Craft and create story angles and pitches for emerging industry figures to feature on the platform, from normal QAs to Behind the Scenes to a Day in the Life Of stories with the goal of at least two to four stories a month.
This role is estimated to be about 6 - 8 hours of work per week, primarily remotely, perfect for a college student or someone looking for creative projects.
Editorial Assistant(s) will be paid a small monthly stipend, plus consideration for some expenses and also be able to attend industry fashion events on behalf of the brand.
