This is an opportunity for an experienced Marketing professional to apply everything they believe and know about using social networking as a marketing vehicle to today’s customers. There is total commitment to the marketing function, and the VP Marketing will be part of a strong collaborative team and environment. This position is a building position rather than a maintenance position and is a unique opportunity to be in on the ground floor providing leadership for the e-commerce channel and other creative marketing initiatives being discussed at Anchor Blue.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
• Key performance indicators: driving traffic, conversion and improving margin mix.
• Creating innovative marketing programs specific to the AB customer demographic
• Maximizing the use of and integrating consumer marketing channels through the use of social networking tools, e-commerce, event and promotional opportunities and in-store visual clarity and distinction.
• Responsible for the overall look of the visual merchandising of stores, including windows, signage and displays.

Background Required
• 10-12 years’ experience with demonstrated progression in leadership roles within the marketing function of either a fashion apparel retailer or manufacturer or retail consumer products company marketing creatively to teens and/or young adults.
• Demonstrated strategic and creative vision, with success in anticipating trends in the Anchor Blue target customer base behavior to design successful marketing programs that leverage those behavioral trends.
• Strong internet marketing capabilities including online advertising and promotion, building online communities and establishing an engaging and pervasive online presence using a variety of social media platforms and direct experience in implementing a highly effective e-commerce program.
• Guerilla marketing mindset with ability to exercise resourcefulness and ingenuity in developing grassroots-oriented marketing programs and strategies
• Exceptional abilities in retail marketing with demonstrated success in generating customer traffic and increasing in-store sales, including experience in sales promotions, creative visual merchandising, signage, plan-o-grams, etc.
