DESIGN / PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANT - Children’s Luxury Brand


Bonnie Young is a global children’s luxury lifestyle brand
based in New York City offering distinct fashion and lifestyle
products for ages 0-16. The brand was launched in September
2006. The brand has generated much generous and positive
international press support. Bonnie has been featured in
publications such as Vogue, WWD and many more. The Bonnie Young
brand has also quickly become widely recognized and respected
by the elite has developed a wide spread of international
clientele including child actors and celebrity children.
Bonnie Young is currently looking to fill the following
position:


DESIGN/PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANT


This position will provide support to the Design and Production
Teams

- Work directly with Bonnie in conceptualizing each Collection

- Assist in lookbook styling

- Issue sampling and production cutting tickets

- Prepare spec packages for overseas production

- Sketch flat drawings

- Organize fittings and take fitting notes; communicate pattern
corrections to patternmakers

- Send patterns out for grading

- Check production patterns and markers to confirm corrections
and grading have been properly executed

- Daily follow up with domestic factories


RELEVANT SKILLS:

- Knowledge of patterns, garment construction, fabrics

- Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment

- Good eye and luxury taste level

- Strong verbal and written communication skills
