Personal destinations in digital fashion land
"I think that this project is hot, hot, hot... like a pie fresh out of the oven! It was the official project for France for the Tokyo Design Tide 2007, and has been ranked 'Best Installation Award' by the illustrious Japanese design magazine CASA BRUTUS! "
"I have been one of the few privileged to visit this amazing island of the Turks & Caicos archipelago. It will certainly become a true paradise on earth, with amazing luxury residences designed by some of the greatest living architects of our time. I simply cannot wait to go back for the opening, end of 2009. (For your information, my portrait here on fashion.net was shot on Dellis Cay, as part of a holiday fashion shoot for an international fashion magazine... enjoy."
"Simply one of the most interesting sources of information on Japanese contemporary culture, directed by W. David Marx, one of the most interesting foreigners living in Japan that I've met. His vision of contemporary Japan and the various cultural interactions between communities and their regard of the world, is purely brilliant."
"Of course there are many online "street-style photo-bloggers" nowadays... but this one gets my favors! Swiss photographer PLAY has a nice and simple of way of describing her 'victims,' and I have found her comments to be sweet, funny and intelligent, which is always refreshing... I was seduced by her photo blog, to the point of deciding to contribute to it, following her invitation."
"Well, simply my Ab Fab source of secret fresh information, cool gossip and attitudes on the fashion micro cosmos. I am also a regular contributor to their jetsetera and blog section, as I truly admire the freedom Lee Carter, the editor-in-chief, allows me to have, in my reviews. I can write about almost everything (as long as it is interesting!), and my moods, personal tastes, and analyses are never submitted to any kind of censoring... great, great, great!!! Check out some of my hot buns comments there!"
"To finish, I am delighted to introduce my second art show in New York City in that great Chelsea gallery that is 'John Connelly presents.' I am happily curated and part of the show by AA Bronson, who has been a member of legendary Canadian art trio 'General Idea' -- one of the biggest aesthetical and conceptual influence on my own artistic practice. The show opens on January 10th, and will be called 'AA Bronson's school for Young Shamans.' I will present my own interpretation of art shamanism, the result of weeks of a 'situationist drift' research in Latin America, with a super cool trendy winter 2009 trench, Dedcated to Joseph Beuys, made out of tar, melted car tires, and various gold logos issued of my own fashion & art cosmogony... and fascinating memorabilia pictures of the derelict coat construction ! Be there or be square!"
